Shared Micromobility Policy Round Up
The Canadian Policy Committee hosts a special breakfast at the 2025 NABSA Conference in Montréal.
Stuckless Consulting Inc. is proud to have been working with the North American Bikeshare & Scootershare Association (NABSA) since 2021 to support their Canadian policy and outreach efforts.
Each summer, NABSA hosts a members-only policy round up webinar. I was on hand once again for the event to provide an update on what’s happening in Canada, alongside Shannon MacLeod, NABSA’s (former) Director of Advocacy and Government Affairs.
NABSA has continued to expand its outreach efforts and support for Canadian members over the years. In 2025-26, NABSA’s work in Canada has focused on:
Engagement around the Building Communities Strong Fund
Ongoing engagement with federal policymakers
Participation in the Sustainable Development Strategy process
Support for a Vélo Canada Bikes letter calling for the release of new federal funding
Educational briefings with Housing, Infrastructure, and Communities Canada
Continued monitoring of provincial e-bike and e-scooter regulations.
NABSA’s work in Canada is done in partnership with members of the Canadian Policy Committee (of which Stuckless Consulting Inc. is a co-chair).
A full summary of the policy round up for Canada and the United States has been shared by NABSA on their website.
