Happy Bike Month!
June is Bike Month in communities across Ontario. Stuckless Consulting Inc. kicked off the month-long celebration by sponsoring a pop-up station for Ottawa’s Let’s Bike month.
I joined EnviroCentre staff at a pop-up station on Tuesday, June 3rd along a multi-use pathway outside Tunney’s Pasture transit station promoting the Let’s Bike campaign and handing out bike maps.
I was pleased to be part of the Let’s Bike celebrations, which also include trivia nights, local rides in partnership with City Councillors, informational workshops, and more. It was also good to be back in Ottawa, hosting pop-ups like I did in spring 2013 when I worked as EnviroCentre’s Bike Month Coordinator.

Other ways that I am celebrating Bike Month this June include:
Participating in the Everyone Rides Pride Ride.
Attending Hamilton’s Open Streets event.
Presenting a draft Active Transportation & Mobility Plan to Township Council in Centre Wellington and supporting the evaluation of their calm street pop-up project.
Supporting Public Information Centres for the City of Mississauga’s Cycling Master Plan update.
Taking a cycling vacation to ride in Montreal’s Tour de L’Île.
Riding my bike to daycare and soccer practice with my daughter!
