Speaking at the 2025 TAC Conference

This year the Transportation Association of Canada’s (TAC) annual conference was in Québec City. I was one of the over 1,600 delegates in attendance and left feeling energized after a week of learning, connecting, and e-biking around the city.

A few conference highlights included:

🛴 Speaking on a panel about what's next for shared micromobility and specifically about the electrification of shared systems.

🚦 Discussing road safety for young road users with fellow panelists Zahra Tavakoli, Paul Mackey, and Marian Mithani alongside moderator Andrew Northmore. We had a wide ranging discussion about infrastructure, perceptions of safety, the role of parents in road safety education, and we brought differing perspectives to the conversation.

⛰️ Tackling the many hills of Québec City with ease using the electric bikeshare system on a self-guided bike tour with colleagues.

💡 Spending 4 days surrounded by people who care about active transportation and road safety, learning from colleagues across the country, and discussing shared challenges.

The TAC Conference has been an annual highlight for me since I started attending 3 years ago. I feel fortunate to be part of this professional network and to have had the opportunity to speak on two panels this year.

I am also leading a volunteer project for TAC’s Active Transportation Integrated Committee that looks at national opportunities and gaps in e-bike policy. I hope that the next time the committee meets, it will be to review and approve the draft report!
